Hi, I am Grant Emery Crosby
I have been in the plastic manufacturing industry for 18 years. It all started when I was asked to drive a truck for a friend at a plastic company! This is where my passion for machinery and plastic grew!
I started out in extrusion blow moulding and then spent some time in injection moulding. There wasn’t a job I wouldn’t tackle – turning tooling in the toolroom to welding jigs or making repairs.
I was then sent to Japan to learn injection stretch blow moulding. I eventually changed companies and ended up working with 22 ISBM machines amongst others. Due to a lack of suitable setters we decided to start a training program at work, which I ran, to train our own employees so that they could improve on their range of skills.
I then moved to PlasticsSA where I gained my NQF Level 5 qualification and I have now been training people for the past 8 years.
Basic Raw Materials is one of my favourite programmes and I wish I had known about it earlier in my career, it answers so many questions and issues I encountered over the years.
I am lucky to have traveled twice to Japan and once to Germany to receive training in various plastic processes. I also travel the Western, Eastern and Northern Cape training people in plastic processes.
I look forward to meeting you online!
